A few notes on shipping pottery.
I now have a $100 Minimum Order as smaller order take so much time to process. That's about 4 mugs these days
Its taken me 50 years to get to this level of work with my glazes and firing.
I have a lot of stock most of the time so just e-mail or call me for pottery orders as I usually have it in stock
This site is more for info for existing customers wanting more pottery-that why its not an online shopping venue.
Each piece comes out differently every fire
I will ship it the lowest cost method-single items best USPS or multiplies are best UPS and I get a 30% discount so the cost is reasonable.
Up to two to four items fit in a fat rate USPS box thats under 20$ to ship in USA or often less with UPS
Orders take time to produce, so please allow up to 4 weeks. Sometimes I have what you need in stock and it’s shipped right away, as I always have lots of stock.
Please do not order pottery unless you actually want it. Recently folks have ordered pots and not followed thru with the order ,this is happening more these days and is annoying at best. I'm not Amazon.
Christmas shipping info:
I do ship pottery most of the year, except for the last 4 weeks before Christmas. Please order your christmas items in early November. I take great care in double-boxing and making sure the pottery gets to you in one piece, however, shipping services are just too rough on packages during the holidays, with higher incidence of breakage, so I have learned to avoid shipping at these times. In addition, my time is limited during the holidays. I will ship up to just before Thanksgiving and again just after Christmas if I have the items.
One note is in the next few years starting NOW I'm limiting my forms down from 35 to a lesser number. I have stopped making small chip and dips for example. I will limit dinnerware in this year. I plan on having full sets for the North Country fair in the fall but after that is will be as needed. Honey pots are coming to an end in late 2023.I have some cannister sets but when they are gone they are gone. Same may be true with teapots in late 2023.
If you want dinnerware 2023 would be a good time to get it done
One last note is I'm working less now -not full time in ceramics I'm starting a 2 month on 2 month off schedule in 20223 now that art show are mostly behind me.
Dinnerware sets and larger orders take more time, please allow for this.I now carry 3 colors in dinnerware and usually have a 8 place setting in dinner and salad plates.
I stopped making special orders years ago and just make the 35 items one sees at my booth at an art show.
One note on mug sizes: I make FIVE sizes of mugs so please measure your volume in liquid before ordering them so I know what you size you need.
Small Mug is 8-10 ounces
Medium mug 12-14 ounces
Med. Large mug 16-18 ounces
Large mug 22-26 ounces
HUGE mug 30-34 ounces
Motion mug for travel.
Soup mug
All mugs vary some as they are handmade and are not exactly alike.
There is no better way to get the color you want then sending me a photo of your pot - if you can, please do. Send photo to LHP3 at Liscomhillpottery dot com
